High Point Fire District, along with Pageland and Sandhill Fire Departments, responded to a brush and structure fire on Mangum School Rd. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered that a controlled burn of yard debris had escalated, spreading to two outbuildings and the nearby woods.

High Point Engines 11 and 21 quickly deployed hose lines to combat one outbuilding fire and prevent the fire from spreading further into the woods. Meanwhile, Engine 51 positioned itself on the other side of the property, attacking the second outbuilding fire and preventing the flames from extending into the wooded area.

Brush trucks from High Point and Sandhill were instrumental in halting the fire's encroachment into the woods, while additional manpower from Pageland and Sandhill Fire Departments assisted in containing the situation.
