Services
As our mission
statement proclaims, the purpose of
this organization is to protect life, property and the environment of our
community from fire and disaster, through the efforts of public education and
emergency mitigation. High Point Fire District
works toward its charge by providing a variety of services. These include, but
are not limited to:

Extinguishing and providing rescue at various types of fires such as structure,
vehicle and vegetation.

Providing support and assistance to the emergency medical services, First Health
EMS and Pageland Rescue Squad. Some of the aid provided includes extrication
assistance and scene control at vehicle accidents, patient lifting assistance
and securing landing zones for MedEvac helicopters.

Assisting local law enforcement with
search and rescue, traffic and scene control.

Responding to automatic alarms. (Fire,
Smoke or Carbon Monoxide)

Providing
public fire and life safety education programs to the local schools, churches or
other organizations.

Performing incident preplans for
structures within our jurisdiction.

Assisting in any other hazardous
situation in which we may provide support.
-
Extending any of these services by providing personnel and/or equipment to the
neighboring jurisdictions through mutual aide agreements.
