High Point Fire District, Jefferson Rescue, and Lifeguard EMS responded to a rollover crash on Will Evans Road involving a four-door sedan that had rolled multiple times before coming to rest upright.

Engine 11 arrived on scene and found one person trapped inside the vehicle. Firefighters deployed hydraulic rescue tools, commonly known as the Jaws of Life, and began extrication efforts. Engine 31 provided additional hydraulic rescue tools, while Engine 21 supplied additional personnel to support the operation.

While firefighters worked to free the patient, personnel from Jefferson Rescue and Lifeguard EMS provided medical care. Firefighters removed the rear door and center door post to create enough space to safely remove the patient from the vehicle.

The patient was transported by Lifeguard EMS to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte with life-threatening injuries.
