High Point Fire, along with Pageland Rescue, Jefferson Rescue, Pageland Fire, Sandhill Fire, Lifeguard EMS, MedCenter Air, Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Department, Chesterfield County Coroner's Office, and Baumgartner Funeral Home, participated in a large-scale vehicle crash demonstration at Central High School to raise awareness about the dangers of impaired or distracted driving. High Point firefighters were tasked with extricating two patients trapped in a modified sports car equipped with a racing roll cage. The extrication process was complicated due to the structure of the roll cage. However, firefighters successfully opened the door and removed a section of the roll cage to free the patients, who were then handed over to rescue and EMS personnel for treatment and transport.
