Monday, June 22, 2026, at 5:27 p.m.

Multiple emergency response agencies were dispatched to a reported motor vehicle collision on Highway 601 North in front of the State Line Refuel.

Units from High Point Fire, Pageland Rescue, and Lifeguard EMS responded to the scene, where several nearby firefighters arriving in personal vehicles discovered a serious crash involving two vehicles. Responders observed an overturned car with significant damage to the driver’s side and a pickup truck with major front‑end damage blocking the outside southbound lane of Highway 601.

Pageland Rescue 1 and High Point Engine 41 arrived shortly thereafter and established blocking positions on both sides of the crash site. Engine 11 secured Stack Road to create a safe working zone for emergency personnel. Traffic control measures, including the use of cones, were implemented to guide vehicles safely around the scene, and fluid spills were mitigated using absorbent materials.

After assessing all occupants involved, responders confirmed that no individuals sustained serious injuries and none requested transport to the hospital. As a result, EMS and rescue units were cleared to return to service. High Point Fire remained on scene until the South Carolina Highway Patrol completed its investigation and towing personnel cleared the roadway
