Pine Straw Trailer Fire

Engine 21 arrived on scene and found a loaded pine straw trailer actively burning and threatening nearby vehicles and an adjacent wood line. Firefighters deployed a hose line from Engine 21 and utilized water and Class A foam to suppress the fire. A piercing nozzle was used to apply water deep into the pine straw to ensure complete extinguishment.

Tanker 22 and Engine 11 responded to the scene and provided additional water supply and manpower.

The trailer owner believes the fire was caused by overheated trailer brakes. No injuries were reported.
