High Point Fire responded with auto aid partners Pageland Fire and Sandhill Fire to a report of a mobile home fire with no entrapments on Nicholson Ln.

Upon arrival, Engine 51 found a single wide mobile home well involved in fire. Firefighters from High Point Fire and Pageland Fire advanced a hose line into the burning home to extinguish the fire, while a second hose line was deployed to address fire under the structure. A search confirmed that all occupants had escaped safely. Additional apparatus from all departments arrived and took turns supplying water to Engine 51.

After the fire was knocked down, crews from all departments rotated into the home to check for remaining hot spots and began salvage operations. The resident reported being awakened by a smoke alarm after falling asleep while heating food on the stove. Unable to extinguish the fire, the resident went to a neighbor’s home to call 911.
