Wind Driven Grass Fire

High Point Fire District responded to a report of a grass fire endangering multiple structures. Upon arrival, firefighters found a wind-driven grass fire advancing toward a residence and several shop buildings. Crews from Engine 21 and Engine 11 utilized their deck guns to extinguish the fire before it could cause any structural damage.

The fire was caused when strong winds reignited a burn pile that the homeowner had extinguished several days earlier.
