US Highway 601 North - State Line

High Point Fire District, Pageland Rescue, and Lifeguard EMS responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 601 North near the state line late Thursday evening.

Upon arrival, firefighters found one vehicle obstructing both southbound lanes. Engines 11 and 51 were strategically positioned to block traffic and create a safe working area for rescue and EMS personnel. Traffic cones were deployed, and all southbound traffic was rerouted onto Stateline Road, while northbound traffic was reduced to a single lane.

Crews utilized oil dry to manage fluid spills and ensured the scene was secure. Once rescue and EMS teams completed their operations, firefighters moved the damaged vehicle off the roadway and began debris cleanup to facilitate reopening the highway.
