High Point Fire District, assisted by Pageland and Sandhill Fire Departments, responded to a fire reported at the Camelot Apartments on Airport Rd. Upon arrival, High Point Engine 11 discovered an unoccupied apartment filled with smoke and visible flames emerging from a hole burned through the exterior siding.

Firefighters deployed a hose line from Engine 11, attacking the fire from outside the building before moving indoors to complete extinguishment. A thermal imaging camera was used to check for any remaining hot spots, and smoke was cleared from the apartment using a ventilation fan.

While the precise cause of the fire is undetermined, evidence suggests it originated inside the wall near a wall-mounted electric heater.
