High Point Fire District has taken delivery of its fourth set of Hurst “Jaws of Life” rescue tools, strengthening the department’s ability to respond quickly and effectively to vehicle extrications and other emergency rescue situations.
The new rescue tool set includes a spreader, cutter, ram with extensions, three chargers, and six batteries. Three of High Point Fire District’s engines are currently configured as rescue-engines, and with this delivery the department will begin converting a fourth engine to a rescue-engine configuration.
This investment reflects High Point Fire District’s continued commitment to improving emergency response capabilities and providing reliable, life-saving service to the community.
