Pickup vs Side by Side

Monday, July 27, 2026, at 11:44 p.m.

High Point Fire District, Pageland Rescue, and Lifeguard EMS responded to a reported vehicle crash on Wolf Pond Church Road.

Upon arrival, Engine 31 found that a pickup truck had collided with a Kawasaki side-by-side. The pickup truck left the roadway, struck a power pole, and came to rest on the driver’s side.

Firefighters confirmed that all occupants had exited the vehicles prior to their arrival. Occupants sustained minor injuries and were further assessed at the scene by EMS and rescue personnel. All occupants declined ambulance transport to the hospital.

Engine 31 personnel opened the hood of the pickup truck and disconnected battery power as a precaution to reduce the risk of fire. Engine 31, Engine 11, and Engine 51 blocked Wolf Pond Church Road to establish a safe working area for emergency responders.

The crash was investigated by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
