Woods Fire

3567 Highway 601 North

High Point Fire District responded to a report of a woods fire behind the Markette gas station at 3567 Highway 601 North. Engine 21 arrived on scene to find a small fire burning in the wooded area adjacent to the parking lot.

Firefighters deployed the deck gun on Engine 21 to extinguish the flames and thoroughly soak the surrounding area to prevent rekindling. The fire was contained with no damage to nearby vehicles or structures.
