The High Point Fire District responded to a report of a grass fire on Hoover Myers Ln. The incident began when windblown embers from a homeowner’s barrel of burning household garbage ignited nearby grass, causing the fire to spread rapidly across the driveway and into adjacent woods.

High Point Fire District’s first response of the new year was to a reported woods fire on Mt. Harmon Circle. Upon arrival, Engine 31 found grass, brush, woods, and a storage building burning, with fire extending to an adjacent home.
Due to the size and severity of the incident, the call was immediately upgraded to a full structure fire response, prompting automatic mutual aid from Pageland Fire Department and Sandhills Fire Department.

High Point Fire District responded to a report of a woods fire behind a shed on Yellow Branch Rd. Upon arrival, Engine 31 found the woods burning and quickly deployed its deck gun to suppress the main body of the fire.
