Brush Fire Damages Mobile Home

High Point Fire District responded to a reported brush fire on Bennet Rd. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a grass and woods fire behind a mobile home, which had already ignited the vinyl siding of the residence and spread into the surrounding wooded area and a debris pile from an old building.

Brush 23 was positioned behind the mobile home and deployed its front turret to extinguish flames on the siding and tackle the fire’s right flank. Meanwhile, Engine 21 initiated an attack on the fire’s head and the debris pile using both a hose line and deck gun. Support arrived as Brush 13 suppressed the fire’s left flank, while Engine 11 provided an additional water supply.

At this time, the cause of the incident remains undetermined.
