Controlled Burn Out of Control

The High Point Fire District responded to a brush fire on Scenic Lane after a controlled burn escalated due to weather conditions. Upon arrival, Brush 13 and Engine 11 found the fire threatening nearby dog kennels and wooded areas.

Brush 23 deployed its remote nozzle to prevent the fire from spreading into the woods, while Engine 11 used its front hose line to protect the kennels. Firefighters also extinguished the original burn pile to eliminate further risk.

Engines 21 and 31 arrived and supported the operation by providing a continuous water supply.
