Simi Truck Crash

US 601 and Dove Sutton Rd.

Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 1:20 p.m.

High Point Fire District responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer at the intersection of U.S. 601 and Dove Sutton Road. Upon arrival, Engine 11 found that the tractor-trailer had jackknifed, blocking multiple lanes of U.S. 601.

Firefighters assessed both drivers and confirmed that no injuries were reported. Crews then worked to control fluid spills and assist with traffic management while law enforcement conducted its investigation and vehicles were removed from the roadway.

Based on initial observations, the crash appears to have occurred when the pickup truck turned in front of the tractor-trailer and is being investigated by the SC Highway Patrol.
